Loved by insects and similar to the Pedunculate Oak, the Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea) has a straighter trunk and less spreading crown.Sessile means stalkless and the acorns on this tree grow in stalkless clusters.

Quercus petraea is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 20-40m. The current height of the trees is approximately 30-50cm and they can be planted out all year round.
