Wayfaring Tree - Viburnum lantana

The Wayfaring Tree, Viburnum lantana is a gloriously informal hedge which brings colour throughout the growing season. This viburnum produces small white flowers in the spring and summer with 5 separate petals and then berries that start green and turn red, then black, all against a backdrop of lobed green leaves turning brilliant crimson as autumn approaches.

It's a very hardy shrub that really is easy to care for. The Wayfaring Tree is a fast grower and can be planted in all but the most difficult sites and tolerates some shade too.

The current height of these plants is 20-40cm and can be planted year round.
