Garden Plants and Shrubs

Snowy Mespilus - Amelanchier canadensis

Snowy Mespilus is an attractive shrub and enjoys a frequent change in colour throughout the season - from young coppery foliage in April to white flowers in May, followed by red fruit which turn black in June as they ripen loved by birds. The leaves turn from green to yellow in the autumn.

Snowy Mespilus or Juneberry makes a great garden shrub - likes light from any direction, exposed and sheltered sites and full or partial sunny location. Grows well in the UK and is reasonably hardy.

The current height of these plants is approximately 20-40cm and they can be planted out all year round.
